Selling with Hangin’ Handmade Vendor Boutique: FAQ
Q: What kind of products do you showcase?
We feature handmade, thoughtfully created, and community-focused goods. This includes local artists, makers, and small vendors. We also accept carefully curated small-vendor items that fit our aesthetic.
What do you look for in vendors?
Handmade or thoughtfully curated products with retail-ready presentation
Unique, one-of-a-kind, or niche items
Vendors who are collaborative and community-minded
What types of products are not accepted?
Mass-produced goods not created by the vendor
Vintage or resold items
Plastic-heavy or excessively packaged products
AI-generated products, branding, or packaging
Do I need to be local to sell at Hangin’ Handmade?
Yes. All vendors must be from the New York area. We prioritize makers who are part of our local community and can participate in shop events and promotions.
Can volunteering offset shelf costs?
Yes! Vendor volunteer hours can offset your shelf cost. For example, 4 volunteer hours = $60 off your shelf for the month. Any remaining discount rolls over to future months (not paid out).
Why can’t everyone be accepted?
We appreciate the outpouring of love, support, and interest from the community. To maintain our curated theme and avoid competing with neighboring shops or existing in-store vendors, we cannot say yes to every inquiry at this time. However, we may be able to accept you in the future, though there will likely be a wait.
